Yacht brokers Glyfadha C

Free valuation · only 5% commission

Looking for yacht brokers Glyfadha C? Which kind do you need?

If you are choosing yacht brokers Glyfadha C, start with the question that matters most: who do you want the broker to represent? A seller’s broker brings your yacht to market; a buyer’s broker finds and negotiates a purchase for you; a full-service broker can handle both sides when that is agreed in writing. European Yacht Brokers offers all three at Glyfadha C, with a complimentary valuation, a commission of just 5% and a local broker for Attica supported from Athens.

IN BRIEF

Which yacht broker do you need at Glyfadha C?

What separates them: a seller’s broker works for the owner and brings the yacht to market; a buyer’s broker works for the purchaser and finds, compares and negotiates; a full-service broker handles the sale from the first conversation to completion and, if you agree it in writing, can act for both sides. At Glyfadha C you can choose any of the three, and the written agreement sets out exactly what is included.

You are not just buying a service from us; you are using the experience behind it. European Yacht Brokers values boats from sales data covering the past three years worldwide, handles the contract, the legal side and the transfer of ownership, asks buyers for a 10% deposit paid into escrow, and charges just 5%. Write to the Athens team and they will connect you with the broker for Attica.

Seller's listing broker with a limited service

When you sell with us, you appoint the seller’s broker for Glyfadha C and we do the marketing: valuation, presentation, advertising, enquiries and viewings. The commission is just 5%. How much more we take on, such as negotiating or managing the later stages, is agreed with you in writing, and we explain it before you sign.

Bringing a yacht to market is the listing broker’s job, and the owner makes the appointment. The broker may help set the asking price, collect specifications and photographs, prepare the listing, advertise the yacht, respond to enquiries and arrange viewings. Check that the listing agreement explains whether it is exclusive or open, how long it runs, what commission applies and which services are included.

Sellers who want only a listing and marketing service can have one. The broker advertises the yacht and passes an offer to the owner but takes no responsibility for negotiation or for managing the rest of the transaction. That is a valid, defined service, yet it should not be assumed to apply to every seller’s broker, because yacht sale guidance usually includes the work that follows an offer: Horizon Yachts International covers the deposit, survey and sea-trial stages, and YachtWorld explains that a broker may arrange a survey and sea trial.

Prior to signing, be clear about where the broker’s work ends. Will the broker negotiate price and conditions, help prepare or explain the paperwork, track deadlines and contingencies, arrange access for a survey or sea trial, and coordinate closing, payment and transfer documents? If any of these are excluded, you may need separate professional help to complete them.

The broker who lists the yacht represents the seller under the listing relationship. A buyer approaching that broker should ask whom the broker acts for and whether to appoint a separate representative. A buyer may also be introduced by another broker through co-brokerage, with the firms sharing commission according to their agreement, so the seller should confirm how that affects the fee and service under their own contract. Read it as a seller’s listing broker with a deliberately limited scope rather than a general definition, whether the yacht is at Glyfadha C or elsewhere.

Yacht ownership handover with European Yacht Brokers

Buyer's broker representing the purchaser

Buying a yacht abroad is easier with someone on your side. At Glyfadha C, our buyer’s broker listens to what you want, finds suitable boats, helps you compare them and negotiate an offer, and keeps the survey, sea trial and closing moving. A local broker can reach any Greek marina in less than sixty minutes, and we speak six languages.

A buyer’s broker is engaged to represent the purchaser throughout the search and purchase. The first step can be a discussion of what the buyer wants: yacht type, size, budget, location and priorities. The broker can then study the market, pick out possible boats, gather information from the listing brokers, check the available records and help the buyer weigh up the choices. Some also preview yachts or set up remote viewings, so the client can shortlist before making a journey.

Once a particular yacht is selected, the broker can assist with preparing and negotiating the offer, explaining the process and its deadlines, and coordinating with the seller’s listing broker. Typical stages are a purchase agreement, deposit and escrow arrangements, an independent marine survey, specialist inspections, a sea trial and follow-up discussions. Coordination and communication are the broker’s contribution; the surveyor assesses the yacht, and the broker is no substitute for an independent technical inspection.

Brokerages describe buyer services that cover research, negotiation, survey coordination, sea-trial arrangements and help with closing documentation. Curtis Stokes & Associates, for instance, describes helping buyers research and preview yachts, prepare offers, negotiate, and find surveyors and documentation support, while HMY describes coordinating the survey and sea-trial stages, discussions after the survey and closing. Services differ, so the buyer should ask what the broker will handle and what stays with the buyer.

Payment varies. A buyer’s broker may be paid an agreed share of the commission through a cooperating listing broker, or the buyer may owe a fee under a separate representation agreement. Before the search begins, the buyer should have the fee, duration, scope of authority and any exclusivity in writing. The result is a dedicated representative across a wider search, even when the yacht you choose is listed by another brokerage. Buyers looking at yachts around Glyfadha C should ask these questions before appointing anyone.

Full-service broker representing both parties

Full service means we take care of the details: valuation, listing, viewings, offers, contract, deposit, survey, sea trial and closing, with our Athens head office and a local broker behind you at Glyfadha C. If you want us to act for both parties, the written agreement says so and explains how it works.

A broker offering full service can handle a sale from start to finish: assessing the yacht and its asking price, preparing photographs and particulars, advertising it, answering enquiries, arranging viewings and communicating offers, and then helping progress an accepted offer through contract, deposit, survey, sea trial and closing. Coordination of documentation, escrow arrangements, delivery or other practical details may be added. The listing and sale documents should state the precise service.

In this profile the broker also deals directly with the buyer and represents both buyer and seller, which the Yacht Brokers Association of America calls dual agency: one broker acting for both parties in the same transaction. A listing broker who merely helps a buyer with the sale, while still appointed by the seller, is a different thing. Before making an offer, a buyer should ask the broker to explain the relationship.

Buyer and seller want different things. Generally the seller seeks the strongest price and terms, while the buyer wants a suitable yacht at a fair price and has to make informed decisions about its condition. One broker for both cannot negotiate privately for each side as two independent representatives would. The YBAA discussion stresses transparency about the arrangement and careful handling of confidential information. Because the rules and permitted arrangements vary by jurisdiction, the parties should rely on the written agreement and local advice.

Commission is often covered in the seller’s listing agreement, but not always in the same way, so a buyer should confirm whether any separate fee is owed. Keep the terms apart: full-service refers to the range of work, dual agency to the parties represented. Extensive transaction support is possible without representing both sides.

How European Yacht Brokers operates in Greece and at Glyfadha C

Our Greek operations are coordinated from the Athens head office, with brokers covering the coastal regions and many marinas across Greece. You speak first to the Athens team, who put you in touch with the broker responsible for your area. Thanks to the regional network, a broker can reach any Greek marina in less than an hour, arrange a visit to your boat and provide a no-cost valuation.

Owners and buyers at Glyfadha C, Attica, deal with the broker for that area, and the same applies along the rest of the Greek coast. Our agents and delegates cover Attica, Central Greece, Central Macedonia, Crete, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Epirus, the Ionian Islands, the North Aegean, the Peloponnese, the South Aegean, Thessaly and Western Greece, and they can talk to customers and visit their boats quickly, working with the Athens head office.

A valuation starts with the boat’s details and condition: download our Sales Mandate and Evaluation Sheet and we will study the market for you. The result is a precise, evidence-based valuation informed by the sales data available to us for boats worldwide over the past three years, and it is an assessment of likely market value rather than a guarantee of the sale price.

After appointment, your regional broker handles finding a buyer, or the right boat for you, and guides you through the transaction to completion and the successful transfer of funds. We advertise across over 20 platforms throughout Europe so boats are seen beyond the Greek market, and reaching international buyers can often help secure a stronger price than relying on local demand alone. Six languages are spoken between our brokers, so someone can talk to you in yours.

Glyfadha C and Attica: the marina and the area

Buyers rarely look only at the boat. They look at where it is kept, and at Glyfadha C that means Attica, in Attica. The notes below cover the marina, the town and the area around it, drawn from the marina’s own information and from local sources.

Glyfada Marina Basin C forms part of the municipal marina comprising four basins. The older municipal page indicates 280 berths in Basin C, while the current page records 253 berths. The marina accommodates boats up to 35 metres in length. Lifting and launching facilities are available within the marina, alongside provision for technical support. These services are accessible to vessels moored in this basin.

Glyfada Marina extends along approximately 3 km of coastline and beaches, comprising four basins. It is located within Glyfada C, part of the modern seaside district in the greater Athens area, placed on the historic ground of ancient Aixone. The marina is situated in the southern Athens Riviera municipality of Attica, an area with historical roots and contemporary development. The Church of Saints Constantine and Eleni is noted locally. Across the four bays, the marina accommodates roughly 800 berths, although mooring services are reported to be limited.

Visitors and residents in Glyfada C may enjoy its beaches and coastal walks along the Attica Riviera. The retail centre includes various shops, and fashionable cafés and restaurants are available. The fish market is a local feature. Practical provisions at the marina include water, electricity, changing facilities, and weather information. Additionally, the municipality organises a Glyfada Festival programme, which forms part of the local offerings.

Frequently asked questions about yacht brokers

Is the appointment exclusive?

The listing agreement should say whether it is exclusive or open, how long it lasts and what commission is payable. We decide on exclusivity case by case.

Can a yacht be viewed for me before I travel?

Certain buyer brokers preview yachts or arrange remote viewings so the client can narrow the choice before travelling. Ask what service is included.

Why does dual agency need transparency?

The seller generally wants the strongest price and terms, while the buyer wants a suitable yacht at a fair price. A broker representing both cannot negotiate privately for each side as if there were two independent representatives, so the arrangement and the handling of confidential information should be clear.

How much does European Yacht Brokers charge?

Our commission is exactly 5% and the valuation is free.

How accurate is your valuation?

We study the market using the sales data available to us for boats worldwide over the past three years and prepare an evidence-based valuation. A valuation is an assessment of likely market value, not a guarantee of the final sale price.
