Lakka is a northern-Paxos village built around a broad horseshoe-shaped bay. Documented activities include walks around the inlet to the northern headland, a beach around the southeastern headland, walks to Longos, and visits by boat to sea caves on Paxos’s western cliffs. Bars, cafés and tavernas line the quay and back streets.
Lakka is the second-largest settlement on Paxos and lies at the island’s northern end among olive and cypress trees.
The lighthouse, Orkos and Harami beaches, coastal walks and boat trips to Paxos’s sea caves are principal attractions. Two small supermarkets, a butcher and two bakeries serve the village. A long hose at the west end of the town quay supplies water; one electricity stanchion there requires a prepaid key obtained from a nearby café.
